Amber's Story...
Hello everyone. My name is Amber and I’m a sweet 1 year old 8 lb girl with lots of character. I love to play with toys. I do not startle when strangers come to my house I don't even bark at them. I am curious and secure and just a baby doll of a girl.

I will let other dogs be the leader and need a companion that is kind and generous. I’ll have to meet any other animals living in your home to see how they fit with my personality. I wouldn't mind being an only dog. I’m almost potty trained, but I’ll need a little refresher training when I move to my furever home. I'd like a calm family and would fit in perfectly. I’m learning about walking on a leash and I’m crate trained. Now all I need is a home with lots of love and a sofa where I can snuggle next to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amber, a Bellingham Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
