I am up to date with shots.
All it takes is a few minutes of interaction with Harvey and you will fall in love! This sweet 3 yr old boy arrived at the shelter scared and confused - he kept his back to the kennel door not wanting to see all the chaos. He looked so scared. But when we got him out for the first time, it was an instant transformation. He pranced down the kennel run, started smiling and the tail, going a ...mile a minute with pure glee! What an absolutely fantastic dog he is! He is already a favorite of many of the volunteers - he makes fast friends with whomever he comes into contact with. We're all in love with this sweet boy named Harvey ♥! We know he's going to make an amazing addition to one very special family. Could it be yours? Come down to AHS-Tinton Falls today and find out!

When you come in to adopt it is an application process. You will need to fill out the application; upon approval you will need proof of homeownership, mortgage, tax, or sewer bill. If you rent your home, you will need a copy of your lease showing it is ok for you to have pets. If it is not in your original signed lease you will need to get a notarized letter from your landlord. Cat adoption fees are $75.00 plus $50.00 for the spay/neuter. Dog adoption fees vary. Please feel free to call the office with any question; we are here 7 days a week for adoptions between 12pm and 5pm.
The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. We comprise three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls . Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park Zoo. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park Zoo is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, and Popcorn Park is also a federally licensed zoo. The Society prides itself on our devotion to the thousands of animals that we care for annually and the chance for a better life we offer them. Please learn more about the Society and Popcorn Park Zoo throughout our web site, watch A Century of Caring, visit the zoo, public service, giving back, and the various programs we have for them. Come back often ... good things are always happening because AHS cares!
