President Thomas Jefferson once said, “The glow of one warm thought is, to me, worth more than money.”
Jefferson the beagle would agree because he has that warm glow that comes from a sweet personality and just promises to love you forever. As you might guess, Midwest BREW rescued him in time for President’s Day, so his name is quite appropriate. This beautiful, petite pup came from Ohio and weighs in at about 29 lbs. He’s a bundle of energy just waiting for the perfect family. His foster mama and dad brag that he’s one of the best-behaved pups that they’ve ever met, and he has cuddling down to a science. One of his favorite places to perch is on the back of the couch, so he can watch both the door and his humans. He’s also the only foster dog we’ve had who has tamed the resident female beagle and actually gotten her to play while chasing “herself” in the yard. His foster dad had to film it just so people would believe him.
He loves long walks, loves to play, loves to snuggle, and will jump into any available lap with or without an invitation. He’s a snuggler who won’t be denied! He’s even willing to sit on a kitchen chair and keep you company while you work at the table. He has a long, expressive tail that wags so enthusiastically that it makes his whole back end wiggle and shake with excitement.
Note from foster family: We've only had this sweet boy a short time, and he is with a family with 3 other dogs. He loves the company of humans, and would do well in a home with another dog who loves to play. While we don’t have children, he’s never been aggressive with food or toys. He may try to be the alpha dog if there are other pups in the house, but he doesn’t seem mean about it.
