Jack's Story...
Meet Jack......aka "One-Eyed Jack"! Jack is a middle aged Toy American Eskimo Dog, super sweet and super cute! Jack came to us with one eye, we do not know what happened to him, but it has healed beautifully! Sometime in his somewhat recent past, he must have had a bad case of fleas; the poor little baby is missing fur on his hind end and the doc thinks it is because having had flea-bite dermatitis (allergic reaction to flea bites). The fur is growing back in now; we had him professionally groomed to even out the fur and blend it nicely. Jack is a lap dog, loves to sit with his people. Jack will also run around his foster homes yard, and it is quite adorable to watch him do sprints and zoomies!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Elmhurst American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
