If you're looking for a kitty who loves being petted and held, look no more! You have found her! Her name is Essie, and she'd love being petted 24/7 if that were possible!

Essie, a domestic long hair female tortie, was born in June, 2012, and she's a sweet, loving, adorably cute lap cat with a most pleasant personality. Essie can be a bit shy in new situations, but she also gets over it quickly and warms up to people in a short time. She loves to have her tail petted. Essie likes to play laser light and she enjoys the company of other cats and the big family dog in her foster home. She's not keen on being picked up, but she will come up to you, and Essie loves to sit on your lap so she can be petted -- non-stop!

As a baby kitten, Essie, her mama cat, and her littermates all had been living at an Express Scripts campus. They were catching mice and entertaining the employees during the day. Essie's foster mom helped the maintenance department trap all the kitties so they'd have good lives in loving homes. Essie was the first to be trapped, and she quickly allowed her foster mom to pet her.

Essie can be a "slobber-puss" when she's petted, but she does always adore the experience. She'll roll over on her side for you, so you can pet her entire body.

This precious one-and-a-half-year-old girl is available through St. Louis Pet Rescue. If you have any questions or would like to meet Essie in person, please call her foster mom Kate at 314-550-5523. About St. Louis Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

St. Louis Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue group focusing on saving pets from local animal control facilities and other neglect situations.

We do not have a facility. All of the pets we rescue are in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide love, care training, and, if needed, rehabilitation to the pets. This also allows the pet to be more adjusted when they enter their forever home since they are used to a home environment (versus a kennel at the pound).
