Floppy's Story...
Meet Floppy!!

Floppy was brought to the pound after being found as a stray. After nobody claimed him, he was saved by Bell'Anima.

He's between 1-2 years old, good with cats and kids, great with dogs and LOVES people. He greets everybody on the street with a wagging tail. He loves being outdoors, playing at the dog park and walking in the snow.

He's a typical basset hound, he barks when excited and it is loud therefore he's not an apartment dog. He would do best in a house with a yard.

He's not sterilized yet but will be soon. He has a wonderful personality to match this pretty face and adorable short legs.

Floppy is in a temporary foster and is looking either for a long-term foster or an adopter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Floppy, a Montreal Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Montreal, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Montreal.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montreal already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montreal breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montreal paves the way for another one to be saved.
