Forrest's Story...
This boy is one big gentle fellow and an absolute love sponge. He’s floppy, gangly and silly. Nice and long and all legs which sometimes makes him a charming clutz. Forrest really knows how to fill a lap to overflowing. He loves to sprawl about and hops up with excitement if you get the party started with a favorite dangly toy. He’s nonplussed by other cats, taking them in stride with mellow amusement. Need a partner to be the other half of your peas & carrots? We think Forrest’s long lush whiskers will tickle your fancy! Forrest was born in 2011.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Forrest, a Chicago Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
