Thank you for considering one of our adoptable dogs available through our Jackson chapter! All of our dogs have been rescued from the west Tennessee area. The majority are dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized at the local high kill facility. The rest are either dogs that were intercepted before entering the facility, or dogs that have been surrendered to us by owners who can no longer care for them and ask us to find them a wonderful new family. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes in Tennessee. We have no facility or fosters in the Pennsylvania area, therefore we are unable to facilitate a meeting before adoption. However, once we have your adoption application we will have the foster contact you about the dog you are considering and will give you an honest assessment of the temperament and training. If you decide that you would like to proceed, the dog will be delivered to your area via licensed pet transport. Our next transport date is December 18th. To make that transport list, all adoptions will need to be finalized by December 11th to allow time for their final vet exam and health certificate. The cost for adoption, unless otherwise noted, is $350 which includes all vetting (spay/neuter, all vaccinations and age appropriate tests, microchip) and all transport costs.
Michael was discovered in a high kill shelter as a stray. Volunteers visited him daily as we awaited his stray hold to be over so we could rescue him and place him with a foster. He would stand up against the fence and try to give kisses through the fence. Even in such a dismal place, he was friendly and happy to see people.
Now he lives in his foster home with another rescue pup, a huge American Bulldog, a senior lab mix and two cats. He loves ALL of his family members and gets along great with everyone.
Michael is a smart puppy who has quickly learned what the expected behaviors are for him and will do very well with more advanced training as he matures. He is full of fun and joy and affection and will bring the party to whatever family is lucky enough to adopt him! Are YOU the lucky adopter?

Rescue Group Info...
Saving The Animals Together (S.T.A.T.) is a group of animal lovers dedicated to networking and rescuing dogs and cats from our local high kill shelter, as well as animals that are in danger of being sent to a high kill facility. All of our dogs and cats are rescued in Tennessee. We invite you to help us save the lives of these pets on death row.
We are a foster based rescue and as such, we have no public facilities. Our fosters are all in Tennessee, therefore meeting your pet before adoption is not possible. However, we will provide accurate information about each animal. Because they are fostered in homes, we are able to assess their temperament. The fosters work on behavior, house training, socialization and provide the best individualized care.
Our adoption fee of $350 includes vetting, including spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichiosis test for all dogs (and treatment for any positive results),a microchip, and transport costs. (Adopter is responsible to register the chip and pay any registration fees). All of our adoptable pets are current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. You will find our preliminary application on our website http://www.savingtheanimalstogether.org/#!adopt-from-us/c10if Upon receiving your application a volunteer will contact you for a telephone interview and then our local volunteer will set up a home visit.
