Maddie's Story...
This girl is having a really bad hair day, however she will be seeing a pro. groomer soon to get her looking her best. Maddie is a playful and energetic but then calms down with a single word. She is a great fetcher and loves to play with tennis balls. She also thinks she is a lap dog and will gladly climb into your lap and snuggle. She rides great in a car and understands "up" and "out". She sits on command. She is potty and crate trained. She gets along well with other dogs and has seems indifferent to cats. She is also HW neg. She is a dream dog according to her foster mom! If you would like to know more about Maddie please contact her foster mom Dana at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Baton Rouge Poodle (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Standard) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Poodle (Standard) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Standard) breeders who help with Poodle (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
