Would you like to cuddle? I hope so! My heart is so big and I am so gentle that I just can’t get enough. I’d also really like it if you can pick me up when you are walking around doing stuff, and if you can flip me on my back and rub my belly while you are watching a movie. Okay? Okay, good!

Me and my sister Zora came to Vancouver from a small rescue group in Penticton. VOKRA stepped in to help find us a home. We were pretty scared when we were brought to our foster home because we’d never spent time inside before, but with love, affection, and safety, we were all of a sudden free to show just how cute and sweet and loving and cuddly we are! Now here we are, on the foster road, looking for our forever home! We’re really attached to each other so must be adopted together.

My favorite activities include climbing around on my cat tree, looking for someone to cuddle with, grooming my sister, and napping. I’m totally trained to scratch my cat tree so if you get me one, I won’t have any interest at all in scratching your furniture, I promise! I am really handsome – charcoal grey with a little black nose, and big green expressive eyes. My feet are especially adorable. They’re funny and floppy! I’m super gentle, and I never bite or hiss or scratch. I’d be awesome with kids!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malone, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
