People often focus on how pretty I am when they meet me. I mean, sure, I am a beautiful charcoal grey with delicate little cat features, and my eyes are green like jade. But I’m also an interesting character! I am so funny when I play. I love toys that make noise! I don’t love having my head touched so much but I do love having my back and belly scratched. I love people so much and I like to just sit next to you and look at you lovingly while you go about your business.

My brother Malone and I came from a small rescue group in Penticton...we feel pretty lucky to have VOKRA step in to help find us a home . We were used to human contact but had never spent much time inside before so were scared when we first got to our foster home! But once we relaxed and realized how safe we were, we let our guards down soooo completely. Now we’re cuddly and funny and animated! We hope we get adopted soon because we have so much love to give and want to start giving it. My brother and I must be adopted together.

My favorite activities include going after little toys until I pass out, exhausted. I like to climb my cat tree, especially when my brother climbs it with me. I never scratch furniture or bother plants, I really just want to play and be hugged by you. So, as you can see, I’m not just strikingly beautiful! I’m the best kitten ever, too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zora, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
