I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cat! There was no adjustment period for this boy; the second he got to my home he acted like he'd lived there for years. He is warm, friendly, cuddly, easygoing, a real cat person's cat who loves everyone. He has such a lovely, playful personality -- even dog people would love this cat. He purrs constantly, struts around the house purring for no reason. He is quite a busybody and loves to follow you around the house while you do chores; he also likes to watch the laundry go round in the washer/dryer. He is still very young, only about a year old, so he can be very frisky - he loves to play with toy mice and chase strings around the house. He lives with a 5-year-old boy and is very good with him but can get carried away sometimes, not aggressive in the least...just still very much a playful kitten.

Randy would do great in a loud, busy house as he loves ANY attention and is pretty much bomb proof around the usual things that might scare a cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randy, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
