found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Abby's story is one of luck, fate, and second chances. This two year old sweetheart was a stray, running loose, when some locals decided she would make excellent target practice. They were shooting at her! Luckily, she has lots of energy and is quick on her feet -- she managed to dodge the bullets. Fate then intervened. A man saw what was happening to her, and though he may not have been an avid animal lover, he knew what was happening was wrong. He grabbed her, fashioned a collar and leash with what he had handy (electrical wire) and drove her to Wild Dog Rescue, where we took her. Off came the wire, a new collar was put in its place. Then, Abby got a much deserved second chance when she got adopted shortly after her arrival. Typical to her breed, she liked to dig (though this behavior can be adjusted with training) and her new owner's didn't appreciate the gardening Abby took upon herself. So, Abby finds herself homeless once again. Now this energetic, young dog has another second chance at life. She is a sweet girl that would do well with an active family or someone who likes to take long walks or runs. She is currently residing in a foster family and is still available to be seen.
Update from Abby's foster mom: Abby is doing just wonderful in her foster home. She is is housebroken and crate trained and lives with several other dogs and cats as well. Check out the photo here of her lounging with a cat! She even shares her crate with other dogs in the household. She is an absolute sweetheart who, at two years old, still has energy but also loves down time to just relax. She is known to lounge under the dining room table while her foster mom cooks dinner. She would transition well into a household. Interested? Please fill out an application available at www.mosseyholllow.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions
