This is Holly. She would really love to be adopted with her sister Honey! Holly and Honey were rescued from a family that couldn't care for them any longer. They are Fox Terrier/ Jack Russel/ possibly Chihuahua mix siblings- about 9 mos old. Holly looks like she has some cattle dog and corgi in her- her body is a bit long and she has cute short little legs! Honey looks more like a typical Chihuahua. Holly & Honey are both very sweet dogs and love to be with humans. Just check out their adorable video! Their favorite place to be is on your lap, at your feet, or cuddled on a blanket on the couch. They are active with each other and play fight all the time, but they settle down nicely. They love to be petted and will lick you as long as you let them! They can be wary of strangers, and may bark, but given a little time or a yummy treat they will gladly jump up on their lap. Holly loves big plush blankets that she can burrow into! Honey likes small fabric or rubber toys.
Holly & Honey are both crate trained. They are pottytrained but do have occasional accidents if not let out quickly enough. They do not bark a lot, and usually use whining noises instead if they want your attention. Also if you howl, they will howl with you! They are ok with other dogs once they get to know them, and are currently working on their leash manners :) They are leash trained though and enjoy walks around the neighborhood. They are good with adults and calm kids, but get anxious with loud rowdy children that make fast movements. Ideally they would probably do best to a home without other pets or kids, but they are very adaptable and would certainly acclimate on the right home. They have lived with a large dog in their foster home and a young child, and learned to adjust just fine. They have not been exposed to cats before.
We are hoping to keep them together. IF they are adopted together one of the fee's will be waived so the adoption fee would only be $275.00 for both pups. They have been spayed and are current on vaccines. For more information please call 925-337-6377 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an adoption application.
