Nova's Story...
Nova is a beautiful, sweet, smart, fawn colored, female German Shepherd. She is two years old and is fully housetrained. Her owners have asked Middle Tennessee German Shepherd Rescue to help re-home her. They don't feel they have adequate time available to give her and they feel that she would have a better quality of life with another family. Nova's current family has provided the following bio:

"My Name is Nova and I will be 3 Years old July 20, 2013. I am full of energy and I love to play fetch. I will even try to steal your socks if you leave them laying around. I love a good ole chew stick. I do not chew on furniture, I am house broken and I never have accidents in the house. When I'm inside I love to look out the window and have my nice blanket to lay on. I sleep in my kennel every night or sometimes I sleep in the bed with my owner. I'm good with kids and I love to cuddle. I am very loving and loyal and I love lots of attention. I will even try to talk to you when you say 'Hello' and I try to say 'Hello' back to you. I am very social and a talker. I love to be outside in a fenced yard. I love going swimming in the pool, but only if you get in with me. Yes, I am spoiled!!"

All dogs adopted from Middle Tennessee German Shepherd Rescue are spayed/neutered, current on all vaccinations and micro-chipped and the adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in setting up an appointment to meet this dog, please email us at adoption.mtgsr@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nova, a Nashville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Nashville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
