Roscoe is 7 years old and weighs about 21 pounds. Despite his age he is an extremely active dog! In his foster home he is getting at least two long walks/ jogs a day and trips to the dog park and beach a few times a week, but even with that he would probably be happy with more exercise! In the house he really does settle down and is very mellow!
Roscoe is a real people pleaser, he listens really well to commands like sit, stay, and shake. We are working on down and "leave it". He is very affectionate and loving - he always wants to be by me and involved with whatever is going on, if he is not by my side he is usually napping somewhere! He is very cuddly and loves to nap on laps and curl up with me in bed. He is very good with people and dogs after a proper introduction. He rides really well in the car unless he spots a dog outside. We are not sure how he is with children or cats, but would recommend a home without small children. He does pull on is leash walking, he is so energetic once he gets outside that he just wants to "go,go,go" but that is improving! He is a bit of a guard dog, and has a fit when someone that doesn't belong comes in but after a few minutes and a greeting he is thrilled to have someone new to get a belly scratch from! Roscoe is a WONDERFUL companion! He shows a lot of love for his care taker and just wants to make you happy, he is a lot of fun to have around. He loves playing fetch and being outside, especially at the beach playing in the water! He is 100% house trained, and is okay being left home alone for a few hours (especially if he has a new bone to keep him occupied!)
