Shadow's Story...
Meet Shadow... He's a healthy, energetic, 10 month old black lab/great dane mix. He's housetrained and knows basic commands... he loves to play fetch and tug of war with his rope toy. He is a very well behaved, very sweet boy. Shadow is a big baby and thinks that he is a lap dog! He LOVES people and affection. His energy level is med-high but with daily walks or runs and amounts of play time he will settle down quickly. ..Typical puppy energy level. He is in a foster home with cats and dogs as small as a chihuahua . He does fine with all...He should probably be with kids older than 8 or 10 years old just because of his size. He may accidently knock a small child down. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Knoxville Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
