Buttercup's Story...
All she wants to do is play! She is the most friendly happy dog you will ever meet! She almost looks like she is laughing all the time! She will play with a squeaky toy, chase a ball you name it as long as it is playful. You can't help but smile when you see this little girl she just loves life!! If you have questions please email daykahn@gmail.com
All dogs in the adoption program are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to leaving the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttercup, a Baton Rouge Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
