Rocco's Story...
Rocco is a strikingly handsome 1-2 year old brindle terrier mix who weighs about 58 lbs. Rocco is an intelligent boy who likes to explore his surroundings and really seems to enjoy when it's time to play. His owners could no longer care for him and so he was turned into ACCT but he would really love to be back in a home. He's pretty easy to walk on a leash, probably because he likes to pay attention to what's going on around him. He met a couple dogs here and loosened up while they were in the room but he was a little unsure when it came time to exchange sniffs. If you have a resident dog, please bring them with you to meet Rocco.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
