Mia's Story...
**Mia is a courtesy post and is not part of Operation Education. If you have any questions about her or are interested in making her a part of your family, please contact Shelley at shelleymadison@hotmail.com**

Mia is approximately 6 years old and 40 pounds. She is spayed, healthy, and up to date on all her shots. Mia is petite, quiet, and laid-back. She has a very docile personality. Mia loves affection, but won’t compete for it if other dogs are around. She’s not forward or demanding. Mia loves a yummy treat or a rawhide. She likes to snooze the day away quietly and rarely, if ever, barks. Mia is a little sweetheart, but she has a rambling heart. If left unattended in the backyard, she will jump the fence to stroll the neighborhood. As such, she is accustomed to being attached to a 20 ft. lead if she wants to sunbathe in the backyard on a sunny day and bird watch. It’s her quirk for being the gentlest and sweetest dog a person could ask for. She is house trained and has never required a crate. She knows “sit” and “leave it” and will wait patiently for her food. She is wonderful on a leash and really loves to go for walks. Mia gets along great with her canine siblings, but she would also enjoy being your only dog. Mia might be a tiny bit shy at first, but she loves people and children alike.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Christiana American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Christiana, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Christiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
