My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blitzen was one of a group of 91 dogs seized from a home in Oklahoma City. Many of the beagles came to Oklahoma Beagle Rescue. They were living in their own waste in tiny cages stacked high on top of one another. Blitzen and his friends are all sweet dogs but very scared of people, as they have not had a lot of human handling. They will need a lot of love and patience with a kind foster or forever home who will show them that humans are to be trusted. The sooner they can get homes with lots of interaction (instead of being at the kennels, where they are loved and cared for but there is not much time for one on one interaction) the better!

Here is what Blitzen has to say for himself:

My name is Blitzen! I have not been around people much before I came to the rescue so I am very shy. I want SO badly to be held and petted but it is really scary! I have made a lot of progress since I've come to OKBR though... I am finally taking treats from the people (as long as there is a fence between us)! And I sure talk to them and tell them to hurry up and bring my food when they come to the kennels! Someday soon I will be able to work up the courage to climb in someone's lap and lick their face! Who knows - it might be yours!
