Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Donner was one of a group of 91 dogs seized from a home in Oklahoma City. Many of the beagles came to Oklahoma Beagle Rescue. They were living in their own waste in tiny cages stacked high on top of one another. Donner and his friends are all sweet dogs but very scared of people, as they have not had a lot of human handling. They will need a lot of love and patience with a kind foster or forever home who will show them that humans are to be trusted. The sooner they can get homes with lots of interaction (instead of being at the kennels, where they are loved and cared for but there is not much time for one on one interaction) the better!
Here is what Donner has to say for himself:
I'm Donner, and I'm one of the most shy of the dogs rescued from the scary crowded house! I still run out the dog door and hide outside whenever people get near. Once they catch me and pet me, I think I like the pets and the cuddles, but I'm still not sure. I'm watching my brother Blitzen very very closely though, and he seems to be slowly warming up to people - and he gets treats all the time, so maybe he is on to something! Are you the special kind of person who is quiet and patient enough to help me get over my fear?
(More photos to come when I am not so camera shy!)
