Fancy's Info...

Fancy's Story...
Fancy was one of a group of dogs seized from a home in Oklahoma City. Many of the beagles came to Oklahoma Beagle Rescue. They were living in their own waste in tiny cages stacked high on top of one another. Fancy is friendlier and less scared of people than her friends were, because she had puppies shortly after coming to the rescue and got a lot of handling and attention!

Here is what Fancy has to say for herself:

My name is Fancy, and while I am definitely a beagle, the OKBR folks think I might have Dachshund or something similar mixed in due to my small size and my color. All I know is that I have a very sweet personality and am a very good girl! (And cute to boot!) I had 6 puppies after I came to the rescue... they are all adopted now, and I am looking for a foster or forever home! Come see me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fancy, a Norman Beagle/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Dachshund for sale in Norman, or seeking a Beagle/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Norman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Dachshund breeders who help with Beagle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norman paves the way for another one to be saved.
