My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 7/26/13: Meet Jade!

Jade is a medium sized 2.5 year old Pit Bull Terrier-mix. She is a beautiful girl who has been through so much. When we first rescued her, she came with a severe burn on her side and an injured eye. She has had her painful eye removed and her burns are all healed up, with only a little scarring left over. Through it all, she has been a sweet, loving pitbull, who craves affection.

Jade is an awesome, awesome dog! She is housebroken and stays in her crate overnight without a peep. She is well behaved (not destructive) and has a mellow, laid back personality. Jade loves to cuddle with you too. Her foster mom says "she is a real doll" and gets along with all 3 dogs she is living with in foster care! She has also been tested with cats and does just fine with them too.

We really can't say enough nice things about Jade. Come meet her - you won't be sorry!

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this dog? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.

In addition, this animal has been microchipped for identification purposes through HomeAgain's® Chip FurKeeps program. Adopters are required to pay the additional one-time,$10.99 microchip registration fee (which lasts the lifetime of the animal) upon adoption.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
