Shana's Story...
Meet Shana (19401189) a 60lb stunning blue pitbull mix. Shana is approximately 1-2 years old and she hopes to spend the rest of her days in a loving forever home. Sweet Shana was dropped off at the shelter when her owners said they couldn’t take care of her anymore. She is a little scared and stressed right now, and frankly who can blame her after being abandoned by a family that you loved so dearly! She has shown much interest in meeting other dogs and she has had the opportunity to exchange sniff with a few. Shana is friendly to the volunteers who have been spending time with her. If you are interested in getting to know Shana a little better please bring your entire family, including any resident dogs, and come meet her today! You wont be disappointed by this very beautiful and sweet girl!

Act quickly to adopt Shana. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shana, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
