Lou's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Lou's Story...
Lou was brought in as a stray to a small, high kill shelter in Northern Arizona. We believe he is a Shepherd / Collie mix approx 4 years old.

He is a very friendly dog and likes to be with his people but we recommend older children, not toddlers. Although he is currently living with other dogs now, we think he would do better as an only dog. He is house broken, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He doesn't like going into a crate, but is well behaved once in. He is well mannered in the house and doesn't show any signs of separation anxiety. He rarely barks excepts when he is excited that you have returned home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lou, a Phoenix Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
