Eden and Rosemary's Story...
Hi – I’m Rosemary (the white one) and Eden is the brown girl. We recently found Animal Allies of Texas through a kind woman who kept us warm during the winter. So here’s our story or what we can remember anyway. We believe we use to have a home because we know basic commands, have no problems sleeping in a crate and will tell you when we need to go outside. You tell us no and we stop whatever we were doing. Something happened to our family and we’re not sure what or why we were abandoned and left at this apartment complex to fend for ourselves. And if I can say so I think we did quite good – but it’s scary for little ones like us. Anyway a nice couple kept watch over us since about August 2012. They fed us some and they even brought us into their home and gave us a warm place to sleep when it was cold outside. We really liked them but because their apartment complex charged a lot for a pet deposit they couldn’t keep us. So that’s when they contacted AAT and asked for their help.

You can see why it’s hard for us to immediately trust you – but we really want to and we’re learning quickly that humans can be good. Oh but I’m getting ahead of myself. So a nice man came and picked us up from the couple’s apartment and gave us kisses all the way to Metro Paws Animal Clinic. There several nice people checked us out, gave us shots (ouch) and told us we were heartworm negative so we don’t have go through that terrible treatment. Eden has a small little heart murmur which she has to take a tiny bit of medicine every day – it’s really inexpensive. This condition is not unusual in us small dogs. Then we went to another animal hospital and got spayed and micro chipped so if we ever get lost we can get back home. Finally we were picked up and taken to another house with a big backyard to play in and two brothers like us and two girls called cats.

My moms told us we are going to stay there with them until we find our forever home. We get along great with our brothers and even the cats. My brother Tanner and I are getting to know each other and he likes to play. My other brother just ignores us. Oh well, his loss. Eden is still shy but she’s beginning to come out of her shell seeing that these humans are pretty good people. We usually just lay quietly with you if you're watching TV. We give you kisses every now and then and we tell you when we need to go outside and have never had an accident in the house. We’ve got some toys here that we are enjoying playing with. At night we are in a big crate together so we can snuggle up with each other.

So we always get asked what we want in our forever home. The first thing is that we must be adopted together. We know that we’re asking a lot… and we’re okay if it’s just the two of us or if we have other pet brothers or sisters. We promise that we’ll be nice to the cats if you have any, but children under 13 frighten us and it’s better if there are no young ones in our new home. What we really want is to know that you will love us and take care of us forever. We will give you lots of kisses and snuggle up with you if you will just give us the opportunity to show you how big our hearts are

So if you are willing to give us both a loving forever home, please put in an application at animalalliesoftexas.org for Eden & Rosemary today!

About Our Rescue Group...
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
Come Meet Our Pets...
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event.
