Shyla- Adopted!'s Story...
Name: Shyla
Age: 1-2 years old
Breed: Border Collie mix
Gender: Female
Shyla is a fun, active and smart little dog! She is about 35lbs and full grown, with a medium length wavy golden coat. We believe Shyla is a Border Collie mix, and she certainly acts like one. She is inquisitive, interactive, loves attention and affection and absolutely cannot bear to be ‘in trouble.’ She plays a lot with other dogs and loves to play with toys and go for runs. Shyla has a high energy level and would love someone who would spend time exercising with her. She absolutely adores children and melts into a trance when they are doting on her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shyla- Adopted!, a Greensboro Border Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Border Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
