Mimi- Adopted!'s Story...
Name: Mimi
Age: 2 years
Breed: Chihuahua/Dachshund mix
Gender: Female
Mimi is a white and tan chi-weenie She is about 12lbs full grown and loves to sit in laps. She plays really well with dogs her size but can be intimidated at first meeting with big dogs. Once she is used to them and if they don’t crowd her she ignores them just fine, but she appreciates her personal space from bigger dogs. She wrestles and plays a lot with the other Chihuahua in her foster home, and is okay with small (annoying) puppies. Though she loves to play, Mimi is pretty quiet in the house and curls up in her crate quickly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi- Adopted!, a Greensboro Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
