Woodstock's Story...
Woodstock (aka "Lady Woodstock") is a 6 year old Fan-Tab-ulous Tabby! Maturity definitely comes with age. A proper lady cat. She loves to explore, but never in the wrong places. Loves to be petted, but will let you know when it's appropriate. Always greets a new guest when they arrive at your home. She's never unsocial and always with the perfect manners. A thing you have to teach the younger felines. She loves to play and will be at your side in any room you go to. Or she might decide to take a snooze. Usually on her back, which is absolutely adorable. A quiet cat, that will nudge you when affection is needed. Immediately adaptable to any new home or living situation. The perfect companion for someone wanting a low maintenance cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Woodstock, a New York Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
