Bella's Story...
Hi my name is Bella (or so I am to understand) - you see I am deaf. I am a 6 month old white female snuggle bug. I love to worm my way onto your lap, sofa, chair, bed - anywhere you are - me too! I am a puppy, and have been learning hand signals for come, sit and down... I am in a crate if my family leaves - there are too many yummy temptations. I am getting spayed on 2/26 and after two weeks recuperation I will be available. I would like a hearing dog - I am best buddies with an adult male dane in my home - and I LOVE people and other animals. I am ok with cats - but I do like to chase them if they run - but I don't try to hurt them.

Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League can only adopt within its incorporated area (eastern NY, eastern PA, NJ, DE, WV, MD, and VA). Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a York Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in York, or seeking a Great Dane puppy from a breeder in York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in York paves the way for another one to be saved.
