Avery's Story...
This sweet girl was found after being struck by a car. The vet staff at the Companion Alliance Animal Shelter in Baton Rouge nursed her back to health. She still carries a slight limp that doesn't slow her down! Avery is an athletic, energetic girl who loves her walks! Avery is also deaf. She's an intelligent girl and eager to learn new hand signal commands, she has mastered sit, lay down, stay, crawl and heal with a treat reward. She is friendly with other dogs of all sizes and cats too! Avery is crate trained and potty trained. She would be a great companion for an experienced dog owner and an active family that loves to walk, run and be outdoors! Avery is available for adoption with Friends of the Animals, Baton Rouge. She is up to date with vaccinations, heartworm negative and will be spayed and microchipped for her new family. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Avery, a Baton Rouge Boxer/Dalmatian puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Dalmatian for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Boxer/Dalmatian puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Dalmatian breeders who help with Boxer/Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
