Hershey's Story...
What do you say about a chocolate lab that has it all (except his forever home)! Hershey is a 4-5 yr old chocolate boy who is need of a new family. He is so super and a great boy! Hershey is mild mannered, house trained, does not need a crate, walks ok on lead, gets along with most other dogs, and is very very lovable. Hershey needs a home with older children and a home that help him learn his place in the pack. He is a big 80+lbs boy, but has the snugglebility of a 10lb puppy. His foster mom is over the moon for this boy and has no issues from him. She can put her hands in his food bowl, take things away from him and Hershey will even share his food with one of his bossier foster siblings. Hershey does know how to sit on command and will benefit from additional obedience skills. He is most know in his foster home as the Great Sock Thief of all Times. Socks beware! He will find you. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He is microchipped and kept on frontline and heartgard. If you are interested in adopting this great boy, please complete an online application and request him on the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
