Dino's Story...
Dino is a 12yr old American Bulldog who has had a rough life. This poor boy spent the majority of his life living outdoors, most recently in a garage, with little to no human contact. His "owners" ended up moving away and abandoned Dino; a neighbor was coming over to let him out and to feed him. Dino was surrendered to All About the Paw Pet Rescue on 2/24, and a few days later was seen by our vet. It was found that Dino had an enlarged prostate, masses in his mouth, 14 fractured teeth (10 of which were removed) and blood in his urine. Dino is now UTD on vaccines, neutered, his mouth is looking much better as some teeth and masses have been removed, and he's HW negative.

Dino is in a foster home and loving his new life. His foster mom says he's the most loving dog despite the horrible life he's had. Dino likes to run around at the park, greet visitors at the door, he enjoys belly rubs and walks outside, knows how to 'shake' and loves to give hugs.

Dino will need an experienced adopter due to the face that he cannot hear well and could quite possibly be completely deaf. This does not get in his way of being an absolutely amazing dog....he just needs a little extra attention and someone willing to be patient with him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dino, a Mansfield American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Mansfield, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Mansfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mansfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mansfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mansfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
