ATKA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!

ATKA is now 4 months old and weighs about 35 lbs.

Atka needs her own person to help her blossom. We are looking for a dog savvy, patient home for this special pup as she is very shy. Atka and her sister Laika came to us from a quiet northern shelter. They've been trying very hard to learn the ways of the world, and while they quickly fit in with other dogs, living with the two leggers is more of a challenge. We've seen Atka change and she's getting braver by the day in baby steps. For her to really come out of her shell and not still have the urge to run away when feeling too overwhelmed, we'd like her to find a home who can spend a lot of time socializing and training her. She's bonded very heavily already with her foster home people, so we know she will thrive once she has her own person who she trusts and who will guide her along the right path.

The perfect foster-to-adult home for Atka would be an adult only home, would have a well adjusted resident canine already as Atka tends to "follow the other dog's lead" when it comes to interacting with people, and who has previous experience with very shy dogs.
