Keith's Story...
This is Keith. He is a 1.5 year old Lab/Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is crate trained and working on his house training. Keith was dropped at the shelter as a 6 month old puppy. He was in the shelter 11 months to the day. We pulled Keith and he is now adjusting to life outside a kennel in his foster home. He is GREAT with other dogs and will really make someone a wonderful family member or companion to another animal. He is being fostered with dogs and cats and would do well in any home. He is a special boy! If you can help us by fostering, or if you're interested in adoption (or both.... ) please fill out an application at http://www.poetanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keith, a Garden City American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Garden City, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
