Dexter: Dexter is a fun dog. He would do best with an experienced dog family. Dexter likes the company of calm dogs that are not always in your face. He would also be fine as an only dog. Dexter should not go to a home with cats but he does like children. He loves to swim and does so regularly at Me and My Shadow, Dexter has completed 6 weeks of basic obedience and would do well with continued training. Dexter has had a string of bad luck with adopters and we are looking for a special forever family for him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Garden City American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Garden City, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
