Oscar's Story...
Oscar is a gorgeous male Havanese who is available for adoption through C.A.R.E., Inc. The Havanese is a breed of the Bichon and is the national dog of Cuba, otherwise known as "the little white dog of Havana." They are a sturdy dog and not overly delicate. They have a spirited personality and a curious disposition and are noted for their springy gait. Havavese are considered an ideal family pet and loyal companion. They are highly adaptable to almost any environment and are very loyal to their owners. Because of their great need for affection and longing to be near their owners, they do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. Oscar definitely wants to be someone's constant and true companion. He is a darling dog longing for a new best friend for life. He was just neutered and is having somewhat of a hard time recovering from his surgery. He has been quite sad for the last few days and definitely needs some cheering up. A new home would most certainly do the trick! Do you have room in your heart for this boy? 706-957-8316

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Albany Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Albany, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
