Alex's Story...
Hello! My name is Alex. I love being around people so much!! Often there are times when I am presented with a toy, but I'd rather enjoy a petting hand. During my photo shoot, volunteers tried to play with me. I was so overwhelmed with double the attention that I couldn't help but purr and give headbutts to everything around me (volunteers included). That doesn't mean I don't like to play. I do. But I prefer games that involve my human friends, too! I don't mind being held. In fact, I love the extra attention and hugs and kisses. My ideal furever home will smother me in love and want an affectionate feline family member to stay by their side.

Alex is current on his vaccinations, parasite-free, neutered, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. If you are interested in meeting Alex, please call Donna at (201) 873-7533 or email startkayne@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alex, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
