August's Story...
This is August and he is a very handsome little boy. He is a little Rat Terrier mix and will be a little dog when he gets older. These babies and their Mama were just rescued. They are 5 weeks old now (3/20/13) and still with their mom but are safe and being taken care of and will be getting weaned and ready for our next transport in April.
August is located in MS but Transport to New England can easily be arranged through Animal Rescue Front. If you are interested in taking me into your forever home please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

August, a Groton Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Groton, or seeking a Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
