Luke - in Maine, PENDING's Info...
May 2013 update: Luke is a sweet pup, he loves to cuddle and be close to people and dogs. It can take him a little while to warm up sometimes, but once he is committed to you he is very good. He loves fetch and will play all day if you are willing! On the beach he will ignore other dogs and people if he is playing "Chuck-it". He is good with his canine sibling, and does well at daycare. He is sometimes possesive of toys or food but it seems to be only with dogs he doesn't know. It isn't an issue with his canine sibling. He likes to cuddle up with his dog buddies if they will let him! He is learning to not pull on the leash, and if you jog with him he heels perfectly! He is crate trained, but sleeps loose at night. He is almost house trained, he will definitely let you know if he needs to go out. He has been left loose and he has only damaged his own toys, especially his tennis balls!
April 2013 update: Luke has recently earned the title of Canine Good Citizen! We are so proud of him!
Luke is a 2 year old playful pit bull. He is great with other dogs, but can get a little possessive of toys and food, although it’s only with dogs, people can handle him with no problem! He is a little unsure of men at first, but if introduced slowly warms up quickly. He loves to play with other dogs and people, and is in obedience class to get better about walking on a leash. Luke is very snuggly, and would love a home where he can relax on a couch! He is super bright and willing to please, and would probably be a great candidate to earn his Canine Good Citizen title!
