Tabitha's Story...
Tabitha is a four month old puppy who was picked up as a stray by animal control. She was acquired by Stray Haven on March 20, 2013. Tabitha is a typical puppy who gets along well with humans, dogs and cats. There is no history of her being around children, but I'm sure she'd interact well with children who appreciate and respect animals. She is golden in color and weighs 17lbs. Tabitha has received her rabies vaccine, one distemper/parvo/combo vaccine, one bordetella and is being dewormed. She is scheduled to go to the vet for spay and other medical.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabitha, a Dundas Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Dundas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Dundas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dundas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dundas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dundas paves the way for another one to be saved.
