Tyler's Story...
Please note: These pictures were taken at animal control.

Tyler is a three year old Jack Russell Terrier who was picked up as a stray by animal control. He was never claimed by his owners. Tyler was acquired by Stray Haven on March 20, 2013. He is a friendly little guy who gets along well with humans, dogs and cats. There is no history of him being around children, but I'm sure he'd interact well with children who appreciate and respect animals. He is white in color with some brown/beige spots and weighs aprx 10lbs. Tyler has received his rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo/combo vaccine, bordetella and is being dewormed. He is scheduled to go to the vet for neuter and other medical.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyler, a Dundas Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Dundas, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Dundas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dundas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dundas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dundas paves the way for another one to be saved.
