Grace Vrabel's Story...
3.21.13 These four puppies are now 7 weeks old and have been in foster care for almost four weeks, they have had their first vaccination done will have a second prior to adoption. They have had two dose of worming medicines and will get a third before being adopted. All adopters must sign a spay/neuter contract to honor the appointments we have for them when they are closer to 16 weeks of age. The surgery, microchip and rabies vaccinations will be covered through our rescue. The new families will need to be prepared to do a puppy wellness exam and third puppy booster vaccination within first 21 days of adoption.

This is Grace, she was the tiniest little girl and the "runt" of the litter. Her foster Mommy has this to say about the her when she initially came to our rescue: Grace is standing to eat and actually she has the biggest appetite! She is still weak though. Her legs only last so long and then they slowly slide out from under her. She is really trying to walk... she rocks to get momentum, goes a few steps then strips. Out of all the puppies, she is the most vocal. She barks and cries out in her sleep

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace Vrabel, a Lancaster Harrier/Feist puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Harrier/Feist for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Harrier/Feist puppy from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Harrier/Feist breeders who help with Harrier/Feist rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
