Huckleberry's Story...
Handsome Huckleberry born on 1/25 is an awesome Hound mix. We aren't sure what kind of hound he is mixed with - perhaps basset/beagle or bloodhound? Either way, he is too cute for words! Huck's momma, Zinnia, is full grown at 45 lbs. We expect Huckleberry to be medium sized around 45-55lbs. He is a sweet, playful, spunky boy who loves to snuggle.

Huckleberry is currently fostered in Woodbury, CT but transportation can be arranged anywhere in the US for no additional charge.

Please email us at bonniebluerescue@gmail.com if you are interested in fostering or adopting this cutie! Our adoption fee is $300. $75 of the adoption fee is refundable if proof of completion of obedience class is demonstrated within 3 months of adoption. Each of our pups go to their forever family up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huckleberry, a Richmond Black and Tan Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
