Meet Hunter, a gorgeous, loving 5-6 month old male Beagle/Coonhound mix looking for his forever home. Hunter was rescued along with his litter mates from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. He is now in a foster home, and waiting for that perfect forever home to find him. Hunter is a bit reserved when meeting new people, and would do best in a home without young children. He loves other dogs and is good with cats. Once he comes out of his shell, he falls madly in love with his caregivers, but he does need a patient owner, willing to let him trust them. We feel he would do best with a fenced yard and at least one other friendly dog, and no children under 7. He is housebroken and crate trained. His favorite activities include napping in the sun, chasing his foster sister around the yard, and getting treats from his foster mom.
