Gloria's Story...
Hi! My name is Gloria! I am a spayed, female, German Shepherd. I was rescued from oC Shelter after being dumped by owner. I was most definitely used for breeding. I have probably been a mother to multiple litters. It is now my turn to be someones pet! I love my new life at The Pet Rescue Center. I am learning to play with other rescue dogs and I really enjoy going out on long walks with volunteers. Like most Shepherds, I am very bright. I have not had much training before coming here, but I am well behaved naturally. The new tricks that I am learning, have come very easy to me. I would love to find a family that doesn't look at me as a mom, but a pet. I deserve a second chance at love and family. Please come meet with me today!

Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to:

Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gloria, a Mission Viejo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
