Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Peter! You can call me Pete for short. I am a 2-3yr old, neutered, Miniature Poodle. I was saved from euthanasia in a high-kill shelter on March 18th. I was dumped at OC Shelter, with my brother, by my owners. My brother was adopted very quickly, but I was left behind. Thankfully, The Pet Rescue Center showed up just 2 short days before my euthanasia date. I was very friendly, smiley, and charming when Casey approached for the first time. She could see through my matted hair and dirty coat. She knew how cute I was under all of that shelter scum! When I got home to The PRC, I got a whole body shave and 2 baths. I immediately looked like my handsome self again. I am a bright boy with so much love to give. I like playing with other dogs, toys, or just you! I would love be your new forever friend if you would give me a chance! I won’t let you down like my owners did!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
