Flicka's Story...
Flicka
Est. DOB: May 22, 2012
Description: DSH Tabby with White
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Flicka comes from the word ‘felicity’ indicating luck. And this girl was very, very lucky. She was found in Wilson outside a factory by a former adopter and brought to Alley Cats and Angels. She was severely anemic and our vet was really afraid she wouldn’t make it.

But Flicka lived up to her name and became the chubby, healthy playful girl she is today. She’s an affectionate snuggler who loves to cuddle. She enjoys playing with the other kittens in her foster home. And she’s even okay with the medium sized dog.

Flicka was found as a stray before she was taken into Alley Cats and Angels’ adoption program.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flicka, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
