Ramses's Story...

Est. DOB: April 12, 2012
Description: DSH Tuxedo
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Ramses is a super handsome boy. He has long lean legs, a lean sleek body accented by his choice of striking formalwear. Ramses is all dressed up with no place to go! Ramses started out as the shyest of the kittens from his litter, but with lots of love and a little patience from our volunteers he’s blossomed into a loving and playful boy.

Ramses talks a lot, follows his foster mom around the house with little chirpy meows when he wants attention. He loves to have his belly rubbed and likes to lie in between your feet when it’s bed-time. He’s not super fond of being picked up and held, but if you go to him or he comes to you he’s all about the snuggles. Ramses was pulled with his mom Cleopatra and his siblings from a high kill shelter when he was just a tiny kitten.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ramses, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
